The Trinity Lutheran Church Book Discussion Group - The books to be discussed in the upcoming months are: March 9, "The 4:50 From Paddington" by Agatha Christie; April 13, "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck; and May 11, "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett. Worship Opportunities During Lent - Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17. We will have two worship services – one at 12:00 noon and a second at 7:00 pm. Both will include Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion. On the following five Wednesdays we will share a light dinner at 6:00 pm before gathering for the 7:00 p.m. service. The theme for our 2010 Lenten journey is Luther’s Catechisms. During Holy Week, we will have 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm services on the following days: Wednesday, March 31 – Service of the Word for Healing; Maundy Thursday, April 1 – includes Holy Communion and stripping of the altar; Good Friday, April 2 – Tenebrae (Service of Darkness) Posted: 25-Feb-10
